Technician Class License Course:
[Mesa, AZ] A Technician License Class starts Saturday, February 20th 2010, 10:00AM to 1:00PM at Mesa Community College (Southern & Dobson in Mesa) Six 3-hour sessions Feb 20th-Apr 10th. No meeting on March 20th. To register call MCC Community Education 480-461-7493, Class Number 68696. MCC Fee is $31.00 for the course. Ham Radio License Manual, First edition, LEVEL 1, Technician will be available from the Instructors on the first day of class for $20.00 (A five dollar discount from the over-the-counter price). A license examination will be available for an additional fee of $15.00 held on Apr 10th at the Superstition Hamfest which is held in the MCC parking lot. VE testing will take place on April 17th. The training will take place in one of the classrooms at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Phoenix Area Volunteer Examination Testing Sessions: Arizona Amateur Radio Club (AARC) holds license examination sessions on the 4th Saturday of the month from September through May. The testing sessions are held at 7 PM at the American Red Cross Building, 6135 N. Black Canyon Highway (I-17), East side, just North of Bethany Home Road. Candidates must make arrangement at least 24 hours in advance to gain entrance to the facility. The AZ Desert Chapter 10-10 International and the Superstition ARC hold VE Testing sessions on the third Monday of every month at Mesa Cities Utilities Offices, 640 N. Mesa Drive, Mesa with registration starting at 6:00 PM. Contact Steve Gurley at 480-804-1469. The Boy Scout Troop 127 holds VE Testing sessions at St. Francis Xavier School, 4715 N. Information: When you are ready to take an exam for an Amateur Radio license, there are Volunteer Examiners available to assist you. Each applicant will need to bring a picture ID (some test sessions require two forms of identification). If you are upgrading your class of license, be sure to bring your original (and a copy) of your license and/or Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination (C.S.C.E.).
