General Class License Course: A General Class license course will be offered by C.A.R.L. at the Arizona Science Center starting on July 24th, 2010. There will be seven 3-hour sessions starting at 10 am and concluding at 1 pm in Boardroom A basement floor. The Arizona Science Center is located a 600 E. Washington, St. downtown Phoenix. Phoenix Area Volunteer Examination Testing Sessions:


Arizona Amateur Radio Club (AARC) holds license examination sessions on the 4th Saturday of the month from September through May.  The testing sessions are held at 7 PM at the American Red Cross Building, 6135 N. Black Canyon Highway (I-17), East side, just North of Bethany Home Road. Candidates must make arrangement at least 24 hours in advance to gain entrance to the facility.  If you are interested in being tested, please contact Gary, K7GH, at 602-996-8148 or George, KQ7C at 602-274-6212. 

Amateur Radio Exam Scheduled For DeVry University 
Amateur Radio examinations routinely sponsored by DeVry Amateur Radio Club and West Valley Amateur Radio Club will again hold VE Testing at DeVry University.  To prepare yourself for the exam, David recommends the following: Take at least 20 practice tests on QRZ.com to make sure that you are ready. 


The
AZ Desert Chapter 10-10 International and the Superstition ARC hold VE Testing sessions on the third Monday of every month at Mesa Cities Utilities Offices, 640 N. Mesa Drive, Mesa with registration starting at 6:00 PM.  Contact Steve Gurley at 480-804-1469.

The Boy Scout Troop 127 holds VE Testing sessions at St. Francis Xavier School, 4715 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ.  Contact John Kelly, 602-264-6854 for time and date.
Information: When you are ready to take an exam for an Amateur Radio license, there are Volunteer Examiners available to assist you.  Each applicant will need to bring a picture ID (some test sessions require two forms of identification).  If you are upgrading your class of license, be sure to bring your original (and a copy) of your license and/or Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination (C.S.C.E.).  There may be a fee required.   PLEASE NOTE:  Dates, times, or locations may change. Call test session contact to confirm information and appropriate fee.
